Natural Spring Found In Flagstaff Cave

This small cave holds a spring inside. At the very end of the cave, water slowly trickles out from a hole in the rock, and into an artificial reservoir made of concrete.

You can see the mouth of a metal pipe in the middle of the pool of water, then cutting through the concrete, and running the length of the cave.

This is 1 of 4 springs in the vicinity, all part of a homestead founded in the late 1890s (more on that another day). ?

Oh, and I would not recommend drinking this water…I could see rat poop lining the bottom of the pool. ??
