A Beautiful Day In The Superstition Wilderness

It was around 2 years ago when I first started my weekly adventures. I’ve been all over the great State of Arizona since then, but there is one place that continually calls me backโ€”the Superstition Wilderness.

I recently took my hiking buddy and his daughters to experience the legendary wilderness for themselves. We started early, as we always do, before the sun came over the horizon (by no means am I a morning person, but it’s the best time to go). His kids naturally complained about the early morning hours, but a Superstition sunrise is an essential Arizona experience.

The sunrises in the Superstition Wilderness are unreal!

I wanted them to be inspired by the breathtaking views of Weavers Needle from Fremont Saddle, and Lone Tree, 2 popular destinations from the Peralta Trailhead.

We still had some free time so we continued along The southern ridge and continued to explore for the next hour until we had to turn back.

On the way down we passed by this familiar rock. I must have hiked past this 100 times before I noticedโ€”or rather, before my friend’s observant kid pointed it out. ? Do you see it?

Do you see it? ?

Anyway, if you haven’t explored the Superstitions, I encourage you to check it out! You won’t be disappointed.
